Responsibilities

Candidates should be able to teach modules (as well as supervise and examine UG dissertations) in Publishing in a way that is industry-focused and socially relevant. Specifically, the successful candidate will be able to teach most or all


of the following modules:

Understanding Publishing (UG, Y2) Publishing as a Business (UG, Y2) The Role of Editorial & Production: Managing Authors, Lists & Intellectual Property (PG) The Power of Publishing (PG)

The successful applicant will have a good first degree in Publishing (or a closely related field such as Media, Communication, English and so on) and industry-derived expertise related to Publishing. We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed teacher able to engage and enthuse a diverse student body that includes international students. We are also looking for a new colleague who is a team player and willing to collaborate.

This is a 0.5 FTE Lecturer position for a 9 month period. The role is available from 1 September 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter.Please note that this post is part-time (0.5 FTE) and the salary will be pro rata.
