To further strengthen its research, teaching, and knowledge exchange activities, SIPBS is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Lecturer in Immunology in the Immunity, Infection and Inflammation group of our Cellular Basis of Disease research theme. The successful candidate will contribute to our vision for the further development of immunology and interdisciplinary approaches at the interface of infection, immunity, and inflammation research. We encourage applications from strong candidates with a clear track record of excellence in research who can progress their own independent programme of research in SIPBS as well as strengthen or develop cross disciplinary opportunities with other research themes in SIPBS ( and across the Faculty of Science. Successful applicants will therefore be expected to contribute to the SIPBS portfolio of grant awards and scientific publications.
The appointed candidate will also contribute to the delivery of SIPBS undergraduate and postgraduate Biomedical Science and Pharmacy degree programmes, which may also require some teaching at overseas partner universities as part of their remit. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the wider academic, scholarly, and professional requirements of the Institute. The candidate will be expected to work towards Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) as part of their role.
In attracting the best possible candidates for these roles, we expect individuals to be fully committed to providing an outstanding student experience, and to embrace the University\xe2\x80\x99s progressive values: people-oriented, collaborative, bold, ambitious, and innovative.
