About the Role
The Department of Modern Languages and Cultures, within the School of Languages, Linguistics and Film, seeks to appoint a Lecturer in French (0.90 FTE) to contribute to the teaching of French language.

Duties will include teaching and assessment of undergraduate language modules, undertaking administrative roles as required within the Department, participating in admissions and outreach activities, and engaging in scholarship on the subject of language teaching and learning.

About You
Candidates will hold a PhD in French or a related subject, or a relevant professional qualification or equivalent professional experience, together with near-native proficiency in both French and English language. Experience in delivering face-to-face and online learning effectively, the ability to work constructively and flexibly with colleagues, and good organizational and communicative skills, are also essential. A recognized language teaching qualification in French and experience of teaching French in a higher education environment, are desirable.

The post is part-time (0.90 FTE) and permanent, expecting to start 1 September 2023. Starting salary is Grade 5, \xc2\xa347,178 per annum pro-rata, inclusive of London Allowance.
