This is an exciting fixed-term opportunity to support the delivery of London College of Fashion\'s BA (Hons) Critical Practice in Fashion Media Course at the new state-of-the art East Bank Campus on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London.

BA (Hons) Critical Practice in Fashion Media is a practice-led fashion media and communication course in which students work to produce positive change through fashion and in fashion, using established and emerging communication methods and tools.

The Lecturer in Fashion Communication is responsible for teaching, assessment, curriculum development and scholarship in critical fashion communication. As unit leader and a year group leader the candidate will work collaboratively with the course team to develop innovative learning, teaching and assessment materials as well as to improve the student experience.

About you

The ideal candidate will be a critical practitioner, creative communication specialist/storyteller or activist with knowledge of fashion communication\'s role in working towards social and climate justice. You will have demonstrable experience of working in creative Higher Education, have an intersectional, student-centred approach to teaching and learning as well as knowledge and experience of improving of the student experience.

In-depth technical knowledge of image-making, moving-image production, social media and/or other emerging communication technology will be of great advantage in this role.

A relevant postgraduate-level qualification is desirable and will be supported by your current critical or professional practice, research or scholarship.
