About the Role:



Farnborough College of Technology is seeking a dedicated and qualified Computing Lecturer to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to teach Computing at levels up to Level 6. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about teaching and committed to helping students reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:



Teach Computing subjects up to Level 6 in an engaging and interactive manner. Design and deliver high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge students. Provide academic support and guidance to both Further Education (FE) and Higher Education (HE) students. Use innovative teaching methods to ensure the delivery of course content is both effective and accessible. Engage in professional development and contribute to curriculum development.

Essential Skills:



Proficiency in programming languages, particularly

C#

and

JavaScript

. Strong knowledge of software development design approaches and testing frameworks. Ability to effectively teach and engage students at both FE and HE levels. A recognized teaching qualification or a commitment to gaining one.

Desirable Skills:



Experience with

XR (Extended Reality)

technologies and

real-time embedded systems

. Familiarity with

AI

and its applications. Experience using

information systems for business purposes

. Knowledge of

risk-based testing

methodologies.

Qualifications and Experience:



Applicants must hold at least a degree or equivalent in a relevant subject area. Previous experience teaching in Higher Education is desirable, but not essential. Candidates who do not hold a teaching qualification will be expected to work towards gaining one if appointed.
