A new opportunity has arisen to join us at West Herts College as part of the teaching team in Computing.

We are looking for an experienced, inspirational, and enthusiastic teacher who is current in skills and forward thinking with technology. You will demonstrate a positive and motivational approach to the learning experience for students to enhance their future career prospects within the industry.

You will be confident in developing engaging and interactive teaching and learning materials to stimulate and motivate a diverse range of students with differing needs. You will be committed to providing prompt, detailed assessment outcomes of achievement with effective target setting for student progress and development of skills and provide personal tutoring.

You will teach students 16-19, level 1-3. The successful applicant will be proactive and inspirational in their approach and prepared to teach a across a range of computing disciplines.

You will be student focused, provide pastoral care and be a strong role model for our students. You will have an ability to promote, support and embed English and maths skills within planning and delivery of all teaching.

Relevant computing qualifications are required, teaching experience is desirable although we are keen to hear from anyone with the right skills, subject knowledge, or experience within industry. We offer a supportive culture with CPD opportunities.

This role is part-time, working 2 days per week.
