Salary: UH7 \xc2\xa337,099pa with potential to progress to \xc2\xa344,263 pa by annual increments on

achieving designated skills and experience

Annual Leave: 35 days plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the

closure of our office between Christmas and New Year

Location: College Lane Campus, Hatfield.

We are seeking a motivated, committed, and proactive lecturer with expertise in pharmacology to join our existing Bioscience team and contribute to the ongoing development of this group.

The Bioscience, Agriculture, Nutrition & Dietetics (BAND) team is part of the Department of Clinical, Pharmaceutical, and Biological Sciences which focuses on some of life sciences\' most exciting and rapidly evolving disciplines. The Department is active in research, consultancy, and training with strong links to education and commerce worldwide.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

You will work within the BAND Subject Group in developing and delivering existing undergraduate and postgraduate modules on degree programmes within the School of Life and Medical Sciences. The teaching contribution is flexible but the successful candidate will be primarily involved in teaching pharmacology on the MSc programmes, with particular focus on drug discovery and toxicology.

You will also be required to engage in other forms of scholarly activity depending upon your interests that could include conducting research in biomedicine contributing to the school\'s research output; developing curricula, and/or involvement in commercial activities for the School.

Skills and Experience

You will have research experience within a relevant discipline, i.e. neuroscience, drug discovery, toxicology etc., and experience in teaching in higher education would be an advantage. You will have effective oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills and organisational skills, with the ability to adhere to tight deadlines.

Qualifications Required

A minimum of a PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant bioscience discipline.
