Job Description


South Thames College are seeking an experienced Electrical Installation lecturer to deliver outstanding quality in teaching, learning, assessment, and tutorial support to students, to maximise achievement and continuous improvement. You will play a key role in supporting the development of the curriculum, with employer engagement, and learner skills development.Youxe2x80x99ll create and implement innovative teaching, learning and assessment and deliver teaching and assessment activities within own area of specialism including lectures, setting/marking coursework, practicalxe2x80x99s, and field work to Level 1 xe2x80x93 Level 3 students.Wexe2x80x99d like you to hold a teaching qualification (or working towards), hold an Electrical Installation qualification (Level 3 or above), and have recent UK teaching experience in Electrical Installation in an FE College. With strong evidence of outstanding teaching, learning and assessment and a successful record of tutoring and supporting learners, youxe2x80x99ll have strong working knowledge of current framework for teaching, learning, assessment and quality assurance.You will have proven experience of working in the Electrical industry, installing systems and equipment in a wide range of environments. Youxe2x80x99ll be up to date in terms of technologies within the construction industry and be able to adopt different methods and strategies according to individualsxe2x80x99 learning abilities.The salary will include a xc2xa310,000 uplift if the post holder holds the following qualifications:A qualified teacher with a relevant Level 3 NVQ Electrotechnical qualification andhaving registration with the JIB as xe2x80x98Approved Electricianxe2x80x99 status or Eng-Tech status via the IET. In addition, you should have achieved a relevant recognised Level 3 assessor qualification e.g. TAQA.
