WAAPA\'s award-winning Acting program is seeking an experienced, inspirational acting teacher to join the team at a pivotal moment for WAAPA at Edith Cowan University.

WAAPA will move into its brand-new world-class in Yagan Square in the Perth CBD in 2025 as part of an exciting expansion plan. As Lecturer (Acting) you will design and deliver innovative curriculum in actor training informed by current developments in industry and scholarship. In conversation with the team and course coordinator, you will make an important contribution to how the core units in acting skills are scaffolded across the three years and how they balance stage and screen. You will also contribute to the effective integration of acting, voice, and movement skills and to how productions and contextual studies are connected to skills training to deliver a coherent, effective, inclusive and forward-looking curriculum.

E.g through professional experience, awards, recognition, invitations to present at conferences or industry events evidenced in the CV and application.
  • INDUSTRY CONNECTIONS: Demonstrated capacity to build strategic networks and collaborative relationships with industry.
  • COMMUNICATION: Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively in an educational setting.
