As a Learning Disabilities Support Worker, you will join a dedicated team to deliver a personalised plan to support individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism, providing a holistic service that focuses on fostering independence and self-esteem, promoting social inclusion, and enhancing quality of life for everyone who comes through our doors.
You'll be providing practical, emotional and social support to customers to help achieve their desired outcomes, from gaining qualifications, learning to manage money, travelling independently or building social skills. You will also support individuals with daily living tasks, personal care, and eating and drinking.

To be considered as a Learning Disabilities Support Worker, you need:
To be passionate about providing a high level of care and support to adults with learning disabilities and/or autism
Exceptional listening and communication skills
To possess an empathetic approach
To be willing to provide personal care
Basic IT skills
A proactive approach to work and be able to work on your own initiative
To be able to work flexibly depending on the needs of the work environment
Previous experience in the care industry is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.
Travel required across Essex to attend training, work at other centres, and in the community.
