Learning & Development Specialist



Location:

We are open to a remote or hybrid way of working, depending on preference and location.


Contract:

We initially envisage this will be a 3-6 month fixed-term contract, to be discussed at interview stage.



Hours:

Flexible to full-time and part-time.

About the role:





We are looking for an experienced and dynamic individual to join us in an interim capacity to lead the design and development of our bespoke management training programme. This is a critical role that will shape the way we want to support, develop, and empower our people managers across the organisation.



The successful candidate will work closely with our Head of People to create a structured suite of management training courses, designed to evolve with our business and meet the needs of managers at all levels.

Responsibilities:





Design and Development


Create a full management training programme with three progressive levels of learning Ensure interactive and impactful training workshops to ensure knowledge retention and engagement. Develop clear learning pathways, content, and materials tailored to our culture, ethos, values, and strategic objectives. Ensure training suits different audiences, learning styles, and is specific to business requirements and needs. Identify a range of training methods.

Expert Collaboration and Delivery


Depending on experience, you may identify and connect with specialist external trainers to provide input on specific sessions that they will deliver. Depending on experience, opportunity to deliver sessions (if an expert or facilitated similar sessions previously).

Evaluation and Handover


Define success metrics and methods for ongoing evaluation Prepare a handover plan

Skills you will bring:





Essential requirements


Proven experience in designing and delivering management development programmes, ideally within a growing or values-led organisation. Experience in sourcing and collaborating with external training partners or subject matter experts. Strong understanding of leadership principles, adult learning theory and best practices in learning and development Creative thinker with a practical, hands-on approach Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Optional requirements


Excellent facilitation and presentation skills Up-to-date knowledge of technological advances, including AI

Qualifications and Experience Requirements


Extensive learning and Development experience in Management and Leadership Training * CIPD qualification (desirable)
