We are looking for Learning and Development Training Partner\'s to join AWE\xe2\x80\x99s HR function.

The Learning and Development Training Partner will play an important role acting as a key conduit between a designated business area and the central learning and development team. This role will play an active role in increasing the positive and constructive influence of learning and development expertise over the training undertaken across the wider business; to this end we are looking for an individual confident in operating across the training lifecycle who will have an influence both at a strategic level and in the day to day implementation of training process and governance. This role will help ensure that the business is provided with high quality, forward thinking learning and development expertise both in support of compliance with regulatory requirements and in creating a culture of continuous improvement.

Package \xe2\x80\x93 \xc2\xa343,310 - \xc2\xa355,000 (depending on your suitability and level of experience)

Key requirements of the Learning and Development Training Partner
  • Deliver high quality learning and development support to the business, providing specialist advice and guidance, sharing best practice and oversight of local training activities
  • Provide support to forecasting business demand and resource requirements based on planned training & development needs within identified business areas.
  • Champion learning and development processes, ensuring consistency, standardisation, alignment and integration across the business and ensure high standards of quality are maintained.
  • Confidence and ability to work within all aspects of the training cycle (Analysis, Design, Delivery, Evaluation)
  • Coordinate HR assets to effectively meet business requirements and support improvement activities
  • Proactively lead the improvement of training materials and approach within identified business area
  • Provide input into AWE\xe2\x80\x99s strategic workforce planning efforts and early careers teams enabling future recruitment to be appropriately targeted
  • Build effective relationships with senior stakeholders within designated business areas, positively influencing the management of and improvements within local training arrangements
  • Monitor local compliance against key regulatory requirements and local standards
  • Manage projects, drawing on relevant expertise to resolve complex issues
  • Positively represent Learning and development at senior level business meetings
  • Identify and drive process improvements, anticipating changing business requirements. Work with policy owners to operationalise policy and ensure processes, documentation and local work instructions are fit for purpose
Essential Key Skills and qualifications
  • CIPD or relevant HR qualification (preferred)
  • A sound understanding of learning and training strategies and methods
  • Superb organisation and communication skills
  • Proven stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to coach, influence and lead others
  • Experience of leading and coordinating projects
  • Comfortable analysing and managing information and data
  • Ability to resolve complex problems
  • An understanding / experience of working in a scientific, engineering and/or production environment
  • Experience of driving results in a multi-faceted, demand-led environment
This job role is suitable for hybrid working, which is an informal, non-contractual and voluntary arrangement, blending a balance of attendance in the workplace (your permanent duty station) and working from home as a personal choice. If you are successful, any opportunities for hybrid working will be discussed with you prior to you taking up your post.

The successful candidate is required to carry out all their duties from a UK location and cannot do so from an overseas location at any time.

All candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role.
