What we\'re looking for in a Lead Software Engineer:
\xef\x82\xb7 You will need to be adaptable and creative as this role combines technical leadership, product ownership and team-building aspects.
\xef\x82\xb7 The technical component is the largest part of the role - a strong background in software, its realisation and system-wide impact with strong problem-solving skills.
\xef\x82\xb7 Experience working in C++.
\xef\x82\xb7 You will favour a collaborative, open approach to development and have the ability to work well in a team and maintain momentum during development.
\xef\x82\xb7 The software that you develop will be used across multiple products at several sites, so strong communication skills are essential.
\xef\x82\xb7 Awareness and application of Software Quality standards such as DefStan 00-55, DO-178C or IEC61508 and restricted coding standards such as MISRA C++ would be beneficial.
\xef\x82\xb7 Working within teams and ability to operate autonomously
\xef\x82\xb7 Able to work across the software development activities from requirements to testing
\xef\x82\xb7 Comfortable working with a variety of programming languages
\xef\x82\xb7 Agile and adaptive software development practices.
\xef\x82\xb7 Writing code with Test-Driven Development
\xef\x82\xb7 Architectural And Design Patterns
