Job Overview

This is a great opportunity to work as Lead Shift Engineer on a prestigious site. You will support the management team on site and lead a team of engineers to ensure that clients recieve an excellent standard of service. HVAP Certification required






Main Duties




Plan or carryout Planned Maintenance to Mechanical & Electrical plant in accordance with set schedules, ensuring engineering standards are maintained in order to maximise the operational effectiveness and reliability of the plant, equipment and associated systems Ensure a prompt and effective response is provided to all reactive maintenance issues, and service desk requests To co-ordinate and support visiting specialist sub-contractors associated with aspects of the PPM schedules To be HV & LV authorised, compile switching schedules, method statements and risk assessments accordingly. Air Condition accreditation/qualification in most aspects of refrigeration To create & carryout site SOP's & EOP's procedure Able to create fully detailed technical fault reports in relation to any critical alarm or situation To be fully conversant and familiar with any new plant or systems that have been installed, including the O & M manuals to know where to find technical information quickly in an emergency To Lead the Shift Handover process to the 'on coming' team. Ensure all keys, tools, BMS, fire alarm panels and critical plant alarms are in a satisfactory condition. All logs/records must be correctly completed and signed as correct. Adherence to set engineering standards in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act To ensure onsite Quality Assurance procedures are adhered to in all respects and to maintain accurate records/documentation
Additional Tasks
Ensure any necessary site cover is arranged for absence of team to support the operational needs of the business

What we are looking for




A positive and self-motivated individual, who will actively support the team on site Previous experience as Lead Technician Great people skills abilty to build strong relationships with client team and colleagues
Technically focused, with strong fault diagnostic skills
Strong computer literacy and written skills Ability to prioritise workload within tight deadlines and to a high standard Comfortable under pressure and able to reposnd effectively to changing demands Hold valid HV or AP cert to carryout HV/LV switching competently Hold a valid H&S cert (IOSH, NEBOSH, or equivalent) Qualification in building services mechanical and electrical engineering to a minimum of City & Guilds 17th Edition Institute of Electrical Engineers registration HV authorised training and certification or Air Conditioning accreditation incl. F Gas qualification A good working knowledge of building services trades - UPS, Diesel Generators, Plumbing, HVAC systems and Refrigeratio Knowledge and awareness of CAFM systems and their use * Ideally Supervisory training to ILM standard
