Quality Engineering Lead

\xe2\xa6\x81 An on-board digital merchandising & sales to seat platform will increase customer engagement, sales & product, and brand advertising revenueJob PurposeThe Quality Engineering Lead will be the champion of quality for our Inflight Retail programme, being the glue between multiple component teams within and outside the easyJet estate to ensure a high quality solution is delivered to our Airline customers and will be expected to.

\xe2\xa6\x81 Be able to communicate well on both a business and technical levelWhat you\xe2\x80\x99ll be doing\xe2\xa6\x81 Responsible for leading End to End test activities that span across multiple teams, coordinating all testing practices and bringing them together to produce a centralised view for the project stakeholders and the wider business
\xe2\xa6\x81 Effectively driving the Quality for Inflight Retail programme
\xe2\xa6\x81 Provide overall quality assurance oversight against all testing completed on project e.g. from development through to release (all phases all suppliers)
\xe2\xa6\x81 Ownership of the overarching test strategy, test plan for their project, including all phases, entry and exit criteria, KPIs, tools, reporting, governance etc. Helping to bring consistency and continuity in ways of testing
\xe2\xa6\x81 Responsible for reporting on agreed quality KPI\xe2\x80\x99s within project, providing consistency across all of the portfolio
\xe2\xa6\x81 Responsible for allocating and tracking progress of prioritised tasks within the test teams
\xe2\xa6\x81 Responsible for ensuring testing are involved at the start of each release
\xe2\xa6\x81 Provide clear communication of test status, issues & risks and escalate appropriately
\xe2\xa6\x81 Establishing and maintaining trusted relationships with key stakeholders across the teams
\xe2\xa6\x81 Champion quality practices across project teams and continually look for opportunities to improve the way in which the teams work
\xe2\xa6\x81 Work with offshore, nearshore and onshore testers to build effective project test teams
\xe2\xa6\x81 Maintain an overview of the testing and quality approaches that are in place for Inflight retail programmeQualificationsSkills & Experience
\xe2\xa6\x81 Experience of working in both an agile IT development model and a more traditional model, ensuring quality is embedded as early as possible (continuous improvement)
\xe2\xa6\x81 Broad experience with multiple technologies and platforms within high volume B2C and B2B environments
\xe2\xa6\x81 Knowledge of all the different facets of test coverage, including unit testing, functional, usability, accessibility, performance, capacity, security, integration testing, resilience, compatibility etc.
\xe2\xa6\x81 Experience of managing and reporting on test progress across multiple projects including the management of any issues and risks
\xe2\xa6\x81 Organise and execute key reviews to meet a fast-paced timetable
\xe2\xa6\x81 Continuous monitoring & improvement of all supported processes, including proactively identifying opportunities for improving the overall quality
\xe2\xa6\x81 Experience of working across multiple delivery teams (internal and external) with complex integrations
\xe2\xa6\x81 Experience of collating test governance metrics and using this data to drive subsequent improvements to the test processes
\xe2\xa6\x81 Strong stakeholder management skills demonstrating business engagement up to senior management levels
\xe2\xa6\x81 Excellent supplier management skills
\xe2\xa6\x81 Experience in managing a team of quality engineers offshore/ nearshore/ onshore
\xe2\xa6\x81 Experience in creating and leading testing teams with a track record of motivating and inspiring them
\xe2\xa6\x81 Technical knowledge and experience of the following technologies/ frameworks: -
\xe2\xa6\x81 Atlassian product set including JIRA and Confluence
\xe2\xa6\x81 Hardware and mobile testing
\xe2\xa6\x81 SQL
\xe2\xa6\x81 Postman for API testing
