We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead Practitioner to join our team in our Secondary School. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality childcare and early years education, ensuring that children receive the best possible start in their educational journey. This position requires strong leadership skills, the ability to manage a team effectively, and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for children.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of practitioners, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards of care and education.
Develop and implement engaging educational programmes tailored to the needs of children in the nursery.
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and best practices in early childhood education.
Monitor children's progress and development, providing feedback to parents and caregivers.
Organise activities that promote physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children at all times.
Experience
Proven experience in childcare or early years education is essential.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
A background in early childhood education or related fields is highly desirable.
Experience working with children in a nursery setting is an advantage.
A valid driving licence is preferred but not mandatory.
