The Lead Power Electronics Design Engineer (HV) job we have available is with a rapidly growing technology company that develop safety critical systems for global medical device and complex equipment companies.

They have seen the desire for their products rise rapidly over the last 5 years which meant that last year their turnover was just shy of $1.2 million. With the dramatic increase in orders this year, this is likely to be much higher come 2023.

If you know how to design high voltage AC-DC or DC-DC switch-mode power supplies, have experience designing using various topologies and have a flair for analogue and digital electronics design then this job would be perfect for you.

We are looking for Lead Power Electronics Design Engineer (HV) with power electronics experience to join their custom power supply design team based in Worthing, UK.

Key Responsibilities as aLead Power Electronics Design Engineer (HV):

• Work in an R&D team of electrical experts designing products from concept stage
• Provide technical expertise in new product design and modification of existing products.
• Responsible for component part selection taking into consideration obsolescence, availability and cost
• Foster creativity and innovation in design solutions

• Self-motivated team member delivering projects from concept to manufacturing working collaboratively with colleagues across the business.

Qualification needed for the Lead Power Electronics Design Engineer (HV):

• Bachelor\'s degree in Electronic Engineering/Power Electronics or equivalent experience.

• 2+ years\' experience in AC-DC / DC-DC switch-mode power supply design from conception to production
• Experience of wide range of topologies.
• Deep knowledge of EMC, thermals, magnetic design, analogue and some digital design

They have a very flexible working environment and can allow employees to work remotely. The main design centre is based in Worthing, UK so you will need to be able to travel here frequently for meetings.
