We are a leading defence contractor with a proud history of delivering innovative solutions that enhance national security. We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Integration Engineer to join our team in Christchurch, playing a pivotal role in the integration and validation of critical systems.

What You\'ll Be Doing: As a Lead Integration Engineer, you will lead and inspire a team of engineers, driving the successful integration of complex systems. Your responsibilities will encompass:

Leading and Growing a Team of Engineers: Foster a culture of excellence within your team, guiding them in integration activities, including the validation and verification of sub-system requirements.

Platform Installation & Integration Plan: Develop and take ownership of the Platform Installation & Integration Plan, ensuring seamless integration of subsystems.

Engineering Lifecycle Gate Reviews: Support the Engineering Manager by providing expertise and insights during engineering lifecycle gate reviews.

Test Strategy Development: Develop and document test strategies and annexes to support the trial and acceptance of network-based solutions.

Integrated Test, Evaluation & Acceptance Plan: Create the project Integrated Test, Evaluation & Acceptance Plan, Systems Acceptance Test Plans, and Test Reports, ensuring rigorous testing processes.

Understanding of Security Architectures: Possess a deep understanding of security architectures, systems integration, and accreditation processes to ensure robust security measures.

Awareness of DEF-STANS: Have an awareness of DEF-STAN standards related to TEMPEST, EMC, RF, EMI/EME, and environmental requirements.

Your Skills and Experiences:

Essential:

Engineering Lifecycle Expertise: A proven track record of successfully navigating through engineering lifecycles and governance processes.

COTS/MOTS Integration and System of Systems Design: Strong experience in integrating Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and Military Off-The-Shelf (MOTS) components into complex System of Systems designs.

Networking Protocols: Good knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, Switching, Routing, and Firewalls.

Desirable:

Knowledge of Military IT Systems and Networks: Familiarity with military IT systems and networks, including their unique requirements.

Product Acceptance Experience: Experience with product acceptance and requirement sign-off processes would be advantageous.
