Position Title:

Lead Installer - Internal & External Wall Insulation

Location:

Works will mainly be around Manchester and Cheshire, but Edge EPC do operate across Nationwide and some travel will be required.

Working Hours:

Site based 8am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday. Weekend overtime available by agreement.

Salary

: 36k-50k (dependent on experience) - Contract work considered

We are seeking a

Lead Installer

to manage and oversee our install teams for

Internal and External Wall Insulation (IWI & EWI) projects

. This hands-on role requires an experienced professional with the skills to lead teams, ensure high installation standards, and maintain a strong focus on health and safety. A key part of this role is supporting the next generation of installers by

training and overseeing apprentices and trainees

, ensuring they develop the skills and knowledge needed for a successful career in the industry.

Key Requirements:

Good communication skills, behaving in a respectful and courteous manner. Oversee and manage an installation team, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards Install a range of insulation materials, including wood fibre, mineral wool, and EPS, in both domestic and social housing environments Maintain strict adherence to health & safety regulations on-site Train, mentor, and supervise apprentices and trainees, fostering their development and ensuring they follow best practices Liaise with clients, and office teams to ensure smooth project delivery Conduct quality control checks and troubleshoot installation challenges

Experience & Qualifications:

Proven experience in Internal and External Wall Insulation installation NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Insulation & Building Treatments (or equivalent) Strong leadership and team management experience Experience in training or mentoring apprentices/trainees (preferred) Driving licence (essential)

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Ability to read and interpret technical drawings High attention to detail and a commitment to quality Physical stamina for manual work in various weather conditions Open to adopting new methods and techniques in installation
