Lead Driver

to join our team in Hull and East Yorkshire!

This role offers an exciting opportunity to not only be on the road but also develop into a key leadership position, supporting our drivers and ensuring smooth fleet operations. You will be an integral part of our logistics team, assisting with fleet maintenance, resolving on-road issues, and coaching drivers to enhance their performance.

What You'll Be Doing:

Delivering packages safely and efficiently while upholding our high customer service standards. Assisting and coaching new and existing drivers to maximize efficiency and performance. Supporting onboarding and training for new team members. Monitoring and managing a team of delivery associates. Assisting with vehicle load-outs and ensuring vehicles are roadworthy. Managing vehicle cleanliness and reporting maintenance needs. Conducting van audits and coordinating repairs when necessary. Providing daily support and debriefing to drivers. Stepping in to cover last-minute driver dropouts when required. Adhering to all safety regulations on the road and ensuring compliance within the team.

Who We're Looking For:

A reliable and motivated team player ready for a new challenge. Someone with

management or supervisory experience

(logistics experience is a plus but not essential). A problem solver with excellent communication and mentoring skills. A committed individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Physically fit - able to lift and deliver packages up to 23kg when required. A safe driver with a full UK driving licence (max 3 penalty points). Able to pass a criminal background check and drug/alcohol test. Willing to work weekends and flexible hours as required.
