Lead/ Senior Cost Engineer
London, UK
Full-time Hybrid 3 days in the office
Salary \xc2\xa365,000 - \xc2\xa370,000
On behalf of our client we are seeking Cost and Senior Cost Engineers to join their Defence team in Reading. A strong background of Leading a Cost Engineering team and some experience in the defence sector is required for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain cost estimates and forecasts for defence projects
- Manage cost risk and identify and mitigate cost overruns
- Provide cost advice to project managers and other stakeholders
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure that cost estimates are accurate
- Prepare cost reports and presentations
- Bachelor\'s degree in engineering or a related field highly desirable
- 5+ years of experience in cost engineering, with some work experience in the defence sector.
- Extensive experience with cost engineering software
- Knowledge of defence systems and processes essential
- Security clearance or previously held
