Mission




We are actively recruiting for several

Layout Engineers/Consultants

to join our growing team in the UK. Our UK branch is well-established and has a robust presence in the Nuclear sector.

As part of the Layout team you'll work on the HPC site engineering office (JDO, Joint Design Office) located on HPC site in Bridgewater.




We are eager to bring in top-tier professionals to our South West office, where they will be integral to our core engineering team supporting Nuclear New Build projects at Hinkley Point C (HPC) and Sizewell C (SZC).


EKIUM, a leading French engineering company specializing in industrial facilities, buildings, utilities, and automation in process industries and energy, is at the forefront of managing major projects worldwide from initial feasibility studies to ongoing maintenance.

What You'll Be Doing



Assessing if the site request has layout impact. Assessing requests coming from site that may impact Layout; Reporting to the Layout Team Lead achievements, progresses and difficulties and raising alerts on any aspects of the design when identified; Contributing to the closure of design open points after the delivery of packages to site Anticipating and raising alerts on open technical points Collecting and organising the lessons learnt; Being part of JDO-DT Layout team, participating to Team meetings, sharing technical topics Manage and monitor any modifications requested by the various engineering teams, contractors and the client.

Profile



Your Skills and Experience:




We would love to hear from you if you have the following qualifications and experience:


Holds a degree and has hands-on experience in a nuclear engineering environment. - Background in EPR or other nuclear-related projects. Proficient in 2D and 3D design software, particularly Navisworks. Skilled in 3D model visualization for layout assessments. Strong understanding of general layout and installation guidelines. Familiar with the overall operation of nuclear power plants and key safety considerations, including nuclear safety, flood risks, fire hazards, radiological protection, and high-energy line failures. Experienced in plant layout engineering. Knowledgeable about the UK design framework and regulatory requirements.

This role is full time, consultancy position, 40 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.
