Main responsibilities

Learning and teaching:

• Deliver classes/seminars/workshops within an established course and academic
• Supervise learning activities, including practical work and support students face toface.
• Contribute to assessment activities and feedback.
• Develop learning resources.
• Participate in field trips and invigilation as required.

Professional practice:

• Assist with professional practice activities where appropriate.
• Engage in relevant professional practice to support personal development.
• Research, knowledge transfer andassist with research and/or knowledge transfer activities as appropriate.
• Engage in research and /or knowledge transfer to support personal

development.

Skills & experience

• Appropriate degree, with UK PGCE, or other teaching qualification giving QTS
• Degree in a relevant subject area or appropriate professional qualification
• Familiarity with the national curriculum of England (Plus IGCSE/GCSE and/or A Levels as appropriate)
• Passion for teaching and commitment to educating a child
• A high level of professionalism and consideration of the well-being of children
• Respect for all members of a school community, irrespective of position, gender, age and ethnic background
• A positive and solution-focused attitude to working life
• A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check (for applicants who have never worked in UK) and no question regarding suitability to work with children.
