Cornerstone Healthcare is looking for a Laundry Assistant to join our award-winning team Marula Lodge. Marula Lodge provides high quality services to up to 42 residents across 4 specialised units supporting residents with varying complex care as well as providing a comfortable and safe living environment. Our approach focuses on individualised care, considering the whole person and their unique challenges, rather than just the diagnosis. We are currently rated GOOD with CQC.

What do you need?

Previous experience in a similar role You will have the ability to work alone, as well as a team and be able to form positive relationships with colleagues, residents and visitors Must have a positive attitude to residents Effective communication skills both written and verbal Previous experience working in laundry in a care home (desirable)

What hours will you work?

Working for us gives you more time for you with a 7 out of 14 day working pattern


Week A - 3 days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday (08.00 to 16.00) Week B - 4 days: Monday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday (08.00 to 16.00)

Total average of 28 hours per week

What will you be doing?

Laundering and ironing a range of materials including residents personal clothing as well as bedding and kitchen linen Ensure that all bed, table and kitchen linen is laundered to a satisfactory standard Keep the laundry area kept clean and separate areas maintained for freshly laundered and soiled articles To segregate and distribute resident's clothing and linen as requested Complying with regulations including COSHH, Environmental Health and Fire Procedures Abide by the Company's health and safety policy specifically in the handling of soiled materials

About Us

Cornerstone Healthcare provide specialist care for vulnerable people who present with challenging behaviours associated with complex neurodegenerative and mental health needs.



Residents who live in our homes primarily have a neurological degenerative condition such as Dementia with an underlying mental health condition which makes them inappropriate candidates for dementia care homes or residential care homes for the elderly.



We currently have 3 services based in Waterlooville, Curdridge, & Mytchett with 2 new services set to open in Bristol and Birmingham in 2025.
