This role will be a Full-time permanent position, based at our customer site in Oxford.

Avantor Services is one of the behind-the-scenes teams that makes lab and production operations more efficient and competitive, ultimately helping to test theories, improve products, and bring scientific advancements to the world as quickly as possible.

You will be working in a dynamic, modern lab environment where you can feel at ease while gaining practical experience.

Working hours: Monday-Friday 8:00-16:00

Primary Location: The Oxford Science Park, OX4 4HG

What we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for

• Education: Secondary school or equivalent
• Previous experience working in a customer-facing environment is highly desirable. This can be in hospitality, retail, or general warehousing
• Experience working in a laboratory environment and Knowledge of SHE requirements is desirable but not essential
• Collaboration Tool: Good IT skills required (including Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook)

How you will thrive and create an impact

• Stock management \xe2\x80\x93 ensuring lab consumables are maintained preventing disruption to science
• Decontaminating of incubators, water baths, cell counter, class II cabinets, water purification units, and other equipment relevant to the site
• Providing glassware and plastics collection, washing, and sterilisation services for the scientists to use within the laboratories.
• Managing pipette inventory and organisation of calibration schedules
• Laboratory housekeeping \xe2\x80\x93 tidying stock rooms, cleaning benches
