As the Laboratory Technician, you will perform all lab duties required to support production on site in Plymouth.

Main responsibilities will include:

Safety and Compliance

: Adhere to COSHH, PPE requirements, manual handling regulations, and good laboratory practices.

Laboratory Maintenance

: Prepare and sterilize microbiological growth media, maintain the microbiology lab and sterility suite, wash and prepare glassware, discard waste, and conduct sanitization.

Environmental Monitoring and Audits

: Conduct routine environmental monitoring, perform GMP checklist audits, H&S and 5S audits, and dose mapping tasks.

Testing and Documentation

: Carry out pre-sterilization contamination measurements, quality control growth promotion tests, B/F and BET testing, dose establishment testing, and document all test results.

Protocol and Procedure Management

: Prepare protocols, perform equipment/technique validations, write final reports, amend procedures, and update SAP documents.

Support and Communication

: Assist Senior Lab Technician with service, calibration, contract maintenance, stock management, product sampling, irradiation, and communicate relevant information for smooth lab operations.

About you:

Achieved a BTech or equivalent in relevant science subjects with experience in a laboratory which follows good laboratory practice standards (GLP) and COSHH. Excellent communication skills, working with cross functional teams. Demonstrated analytical and structured approach to problem solving. Experience with GMP practice. Experience working in a scientific laboratory. Experience within a manufacturing site/setting. Strong PC skills, including full Microsoft suite.
