Overview





HGJS are seeking a KS2 Teacher to join our vibrant, friendly team.



We are looking to appoint a class teacher who is passionate about learning and has the drive and enthusiasm to build upon the school's current success. The successful candidates will have demonstrated strong classroom practice and the ability to achieve high standards of teaching and learning. We require candidates to identify any curriculum areas in which they have particular strengths or interest.



Whilst the successful applicant will be offered a Fixed Term contract, there is strong potential for this to become a permanent position in 1 - 2 years.

About you





Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a range of teaching methods and apply them effectively, according to the maturity and ability of the pupils and the desired learning outcomes.



They will have experience of liaising with colleagues on the planning of units of work for collaborative delivery and the development of teaching materials and resources, take account of pupils' prior levels of attainment and use them to set targets for future improvement, set appropriate homework tasks and set work for pupils absent from school when needed. Maintain good discipline and take responsibility for initial disciplinary sanctions (in accordance with school's policy), set high expectations for pupils' behaviour by establishing a purposeful working atmosphere, set appropriate and demanding expectations for each pupil's learning, motivation and presentation of work and promote effective learning.
