Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen by washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils promptly. Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use. Support chefs and cooks by providing necessary supplies during food preparation and service. Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring that all food handling practices meet hygiene standards. Help with stock rotation and inventory management to minimise waste. Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by kitchen staff. Maintain a positive attitude while working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Previous experience in a hospitality or culinary setting is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key. Strong work ethic with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Good communication skills to interact with kitchen staff and other team members. Ability to follow instructions accurately and maintain high standards of cleanliness. A genuine interest in food preparation and the culinary field. Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the restaurant or hotel operations.
