Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of meals, ensuring all ingredients are prepped and ready for cooking. Follow food safety guidelines to maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment. Support cooks and chefs in various culinary tasks, including chopping, mixing, and cooking as required. Participate in the organisation of kitchen inventory, ensuring all supplies are stocked and stored correctly. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and workstations throughout the shift. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods. Assist in catering events as needed, contributing to menu planning and execution.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key. Knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques is advantageous. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required. A passion for food and cooking, with an eagerness to develop culinary skills further.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 7.55-12.21 per hour
