Job Title: Kitchen Porter

Location: King Arthur Hotel - Busy Country Hotel and Wedding Venue

Overview: Our busy country hotel and wedding venue is seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have a willingness to learn new skills. This is a full-time position that requires flexibility in scheduling and the ability to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities:

Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment by washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and mopping floors. Assist the kitchen team with food preparation and service as needed. Receive and store food deliveries as they arrive. Remove trash and recycling from the kitchen and ensure they are disposed of properly. Follow food safety and sanitation regulations and best practices. Communicate effectively with other members of the kitchen team to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
Qualifications:

Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to learn and take on new tasks. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, such as crates of dishes or food supplies. Familiarity with basic kitchen equipment and procedures. Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team. Prior experience working in a kitchen or similar environment is preferred, but not required.
Transport is essential due to location.
