Duties

Assist with the preparation of ingredients for cooking, ensuring all items are ready for use by chefs. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Ensure that kitchen equipment and utensils are cleaned and stored properly after use. Support chefs during busy service periods by helping with basic food preparation tasks. Dispose of waste and rubbish in accordance with health and safety regulations. Assist in receiving deliveries and storing food items appropriately to maintain freshness. Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential; a willingness to learn is key. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy setting. A passion for culinary arts and an interest in food preparation techniques. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and efficiency. Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 7.55-12.21 per hour
