Duties

As a Kitchen Porter, your responsibilities will include:

Assisting with food preparation and ensuring all ingredients are readily available for the cooking staff. Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Supporting chefs and cooks by helping with basic cooking tasks as required. Ensuring all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use. Managing waste disposal and recycling in accordance with health and safety regulations. Assisting with inventory management by keeping track of stock levels and reporting shortages to the kitchen management team. Upholding high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in line with food safety regulations.

Experience

While prior experience as a Kitchen Porter is advantageous, it is not essential. We welcome applicants who possess:

A keen interest in the culinary arts and a desire to learn more about food preparation within a professional kitchen setting. Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments would be beneficial but not mandatory. A strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail to maintain cleanliness standards.
