We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team within the hospitality sector. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a vital role in supporting our kitchen operations, ensuring that our culinary team can deliver exceptional dining experiences. This position is ideal for individuals who have a passion for food preparation and wish to develop their skills in a fast-paced restaurant or hotel environment.

Duties

Assist with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all surfaces are sanitised. Wash and store kitchen utensils, pots, and pans following health and safety guidelines. Support chefs and cooks in various tasks as required to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Help with stock rotation and inventory management to minimise waste. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations at all times. Assist in receiving deliveries and storing food items appropriately.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. A keen interest in culinary arts and the hospitality industry is highly desirable. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Pay: From 12.21 per hour
