Cafebar 1838 will be part of an independent hospitality group based primarily in West Lothian, Consisting of David Stein Butchers, Cafebar 1912 in Bathgate, Cafebar 1807 in Linlithgow and Cafebar 1962 in Livingston Our butcher shops have been run by us for over 40 years, we take great pride in our produce and we supply our venues with daily fresh offerings! Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee our culinary operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for hospitality, ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently. As the Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for supervising kitchen staff, managing food preparation, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety in our restaurant environment.

Responsibilities



Manage daily kitchen operations, ensuring all food is prepared to the highest standards. Supervise and lead kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment. Assist in training new staff members on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen procedures. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations. Help create a positive work atmosphere that encourages teamwork and collaboration among staff members. Address any customer concerns regarding food quality or service promptly and professionally.

Qualifications



Proven experience in a kitchen management role within the hospitality or restaurant industry. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise a diverse team. Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary best practices. Familiarity with health regulations and safety standards in a kitchen environment. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with staff and customers. A passion for cooking and hospitality, with a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
