Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining various structures and components in accordance with specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of technical drawings and the ability to work with a variety of materials and tools. The Fitter will play a crucial role in ensuring that all projects meet quality standards and are completed efficiently.

Duties

Interpret and work from schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to assemble components accurately. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and assembling materials such as metal, wood, and plaster. Perform masonry work as required, ensuring structural integrity and adherence to safety standards. Conduct electrical installations where necessary, ensuring compliance with regulations. Carry out painting tasks to finish surfaces to a high standard. Engage in roofing activities as needed, ensuring proper installation and maintenance of roofing systems. Collaborate with team members to complete projects within deadlines while maintaining high-quality workmanship. Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following health and safety protocols.

Skills

Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to fitting tasks. Strong knowledge of plastering techniques and masonry skills. Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings accurately. Experience in electrical work is advantageous but not essential. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
