We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of culinary techniques. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in a fast-paced kitchen environment while adhering to food safety standards. Duties
Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menu specifications.
Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and report any shortages to the kitchen manager.
Help train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety practices.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a restaurant or commercial kitchen environment is preferred.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and meal preparation methods.
Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in the kitchen.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
