Kitchen Assistant

At Harrods we currently house more celebrity chefs and exclusive dining brands than any other location in the UK, and right now we are looking for exceptional Kitchen Assistants to join our team in creating the magical experience that is Harrods. You will be joining a passionate, supportive, and successful brigade, all within our iconic Knightsbridge store.

About the Role

As a Kitchen Assistant you will assist with a variety of different non culinary tasks in the kitchen. This will include assisting in the collection, storage and distribution of food products and kitchen deliveries, as well as stock rotation, control and replenishment for all sections. Supporting the team with daily checks will be part of your daily activities as well.

You will be also be collaborating with the Stewarding team on the cleanliness of the kitchen, ensuring a high standard of hygiene at all times. Working alongside the Chefs, you will have to follow clear instructions and show a great sense of initiative to ensure that all agreed standards of cleaning are achieved in a timely manner. This role will also involve heavy lifting and exposure to potentially hazardous chemicals.

About You

You\xe2\x80\x99ll have previous experience as a Kitchen Assistant or in a kitchen environment, ideally at a Restaurant, Hotel kitchen or Catering company. You\xe2\x80\x99ll need to be organised, committed and detail oriented in every task you face. As this is a physical role, you must be physically fit and able to lift heavy items and use industrial cleaning machinery.
