This role is perfect for individuals who have a passion for cooking and are eager to learn in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Duties

Assist in the preparation of meals according to established recipes and menu specifications. Support the kitchen team with food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and cooking ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment and utensils are properly cleaned and stored. Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene practices at all times. Participate in catering events as required, helping to set up and serve food efficiently. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages as needed.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is advantageous but not essential; enthusiasm for culinary arts is key. Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is preferred. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in food preparation and presentation. Willingness to learn new skills related to meal preparation and catering services. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
