We are looking for a
Kitchen Assistant & Order Handler
to join our team in abustling takeaway environment
. The ideal candidate willsupport kitchen operations, handle food packaging, and process customer orders both over the phone and in person
.Key Responsibilities:
Work effectively with the kitchen team, following
company procedures and food safety policies
. Prepare and maintain aclean, organized workstation
with required ingredients and equipment.Meet and process customer orders
, bothin-person and via phone
, adding them accurately into the system.Inform customers
in case of possible delays or issues. Treat customerspolitely and respectfully
, ensuring excellent customer service. Prepare foodcarefully and to a high standard
, as if you were serving yourself--nosloppy or substandard
food should be sent to customers.Assist in basic cooking tasks
, such as frying halloumi, cooking enough chips, and warming bread. Monitor food stock levels andrestock items
when needed. Keep kitchen utensils and equipmentclean and sanitary
at all times.Prepare and pack food orders
, includingwraps, portion meals, and salads
--you will receive training on how to prepare them.Requirements:
You must have a
Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2
.If you do not have this certificate, you must apply for and complete the training before starting.
We will cover the cost of obtaining this certificate
.Working Hours & Flexibility:
3-hour shifts per day
: You will work between4PM-7PM, 5PM-8PM, or 7PM-10PM
, based on theschedule planned with your colleagues
. Depending on busy hours, you may be asked toextend your shift by 30 minutes or 1 hour
, in which case you should be able toadjust accordingly
.No weekend shifts
