The ideal candidate will have a strong background in kitchen operations and meal preparation, with a keen understanding of food safety standards. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in creating delicious meals that delight our customers while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen.
The hours will be varied however on average will be 15/20 hours per week. Much of the work will be weekend hours with the occasional shift during the week.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of basic dishes
Assist in meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
Maintain food safety and hygiene standards throughout the cooking process.
Keep the kitchen area clean and organised, including washing utensils and equipment after use.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Cook in a restaurant or similar environment is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, helping others when needed.
Culinary qualifications or relevant certifications are an advantage but not essential.
