Key Account Manager

Field Based role
Major Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Identify and manage new business opportunities and sales leads for the Radiology Portfolio for UK including quotations, tendering and implementation.
  • Management of projects and customer interaction for Key Customers. These include NHS Scotland & Northern Ireland , NHS England, NHS Wales.
  • Manage defined NHS and private healthcare Key Account customers for the MR,CT/Angio contrast media and medical device portfolio; successfully manage current Key Account contracts.
  • Prepare and implement a Key Accounts Business Plan to achieve/exceed agreed sales targets.
  • To present and agree a financial and business plan demonstrating the projected Territory Portfolio contribution to the national Radiology target.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of NHS and private healthcare requirements and procurement of radiology products and systems.
  • Support and project coordination of Radiology\'s Injector Portfolio to the UK Radiology KAM team.
  • Allocating projects by geography and business priority.
  • Maintain a current knowledge base of the ABPI regulations for Radiology Contrast Portfolio and ABHI regulations for Medical Devices and Software and apply in the communication to customers.
  • Interaction and communication with the National Mobile providers for integration of our products into their customer installations.
  • Pro-active communication of current market and competitor information and analysis of competitor strategy to Regional Business Managers and Marketing Team, highlighting possible opportunities/threats that this information may present.
  • Clear demonstration of LIFE values and indicative behaviours.
  • Ensure adherence to company and industry-specific codes of practice or conduct, advertising codes, regulatory directives and guidelines, as applicable to the role, and to the Program for Legal Compliance and Corporate Responsibility at Bayer.
Who you are?
  • Delivery of results, action orientation, customer Focus, relationship management, financial analysis, commercial acumen, leadership.
  • Graduate standard or equivalent intellect - either a science degree and/ or experience in the radiology field would be an advantage.
  • Good commercial experience in the healthcare industry in a sales/ key account role.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Ability to use IT as a business tool, ideally experience of Outlook and MS Office.
  • Full driving licence.
