Job Description
Your role as a Kennel and Cattery Assistant will include working with dogs and cats in our care while their owners are away.
Jobs will include ensuring pens are clean & dry, exercising dogs, bathing and grooming pets. Checking Pets are comfortable and clean, Washing and general household duties.
Customer-facing roles Include booking in/out of pets and ensuring correct details are on the system. Answering booking and customers questions via telephone, email & social media.
The Job will consist of two days a week starting 8 am-6 pm with alternating weekends, extra days available when covering holidays and busy periods.
Summary
As a Kennel and Cattery Assistant, you will be essential in providing high-quality care for animals in our care. Reporting to the Kennel Manager, your role involves ensuring the well-being of pets through daily feeding, grooming, and exercise. With core skills in animal care and customer service, you will interact with pet owners and assist them with their needs. while your ability to perform heavy lifting will support the overall operations of the kennel and cattery. Qualifications
Strong customer service skills to interact effectively with pet owners Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for animal handling and facility maintenance Experience in a kennel or cattery environment preferred Compassionate and attentive to the needs of animals in care
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary, Temp to perm
Pay: 10.00-12.21 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 18 per week
