Job Description

JV Accountant required for an upstream E&P major. Holding responsibility for the preparation of JV partner reporting and billing, you will ensure costs are correctly attributed and charged to JV partners in a timely and accurate manner. You will play a pivotal role acting as a focal point, interfacing with JV partners. This is a 12-month contract role which is renewed annually.

Past JV accounting experience is sought.

Reporting into the JV Accounting & Reporting Lead your duties will include:

• Creating annual work plan, budgets, reforecasting, life of field and annual partner budgets.
• Providing oversight, review and assurance during the preparation of OPEX and CAPEX and production.
• Preparing accurate month end accounts.
• Understanding actuals compared to forecast/budget with reporting of variance analysis commentary.
• Preparing and issuing JV monthly partner billings and ensuring timely receipt of cash call/invoice funds from partners.
• Performing review and control procedures, ensuring appropriate and accurate operational shared cost allocations are aligned with JOA obligations.
• Monthly review and update of forecasts in SAP.
• Reviewing and updating month end costs.
• Reviewing and posting journals to record tariff, transportation costs and any cost shares correctly.
• Assisting with JV external audit, resolving audit findings in a timely manner.
• Preparing JV partner reports and facilitation of partner budget and AFE approvals.
• Accrual reviews.
• Ensuring compliance with governance and policies as prescribed in JOAs.
• Preparing early warning report.
• Supporting Tax Team with PRT.
• Preparing gross to net reconciliations.
