Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Junior Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and production, with a keen understanding of food safety and culinary techniques. As a Junior Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, supervising staff, and ensuring that high standards of food quality and presentation are maintained.

Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and recipe development. Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as needed. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean kitchen environment. Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as necessary. Collaborate with other kitchen team members to ensure timely service during peak hours. Help maintain equipment and report any maintenance issues to the Head Chef.

Skills

Proficient in food preparation techniques and culinary skills. Strong knowledge of food safety standards and practices. Experience in supervising kitchen staff and fostering a positive team environment. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
