Junior Sous Chef - Clayton Hotel Cardiff

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sous Chef in the Clayton Hotel Cardiff

Clayton Hotel Cardiff is a 4 star hotel located in the heart of Cardiff city at the bottom of St.Mary\xe2\x80\x99s Street. Location is everything at Clayton Hotel Cardiff, with the train and bus stations only a stone\xe2\x80\x99s throw away and the city\xe2\x80\x99s famous Principality Stadium only a short walk. Clayton Hotel is Cardiff\xe2\x80\x99s largest hotel boasting 216 bedrooms, 7 modern meeting and conference rooms all with natural daylight and \xc3\x80 la carte restaurant and bar, all with beautiful panoramic views of the capital city.

Objective of the Role

Reporting to the Head Chef, the sous chef plays a vital role in supporting the operations management of the kitchen, and in the production of excellent food.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the kitchen operations for the hotel.
• Lead by example in excellent food production.
• Mentor our skilled and ambitious culinary staff.
• Support the Head Chef in their duties, occasionally deputise in their role.
• Play an important role in the success of our conferences and events offerings.

Requirements:

• Experience as a chef in hotels or similar.
• Unrelenting focus on quality.
• Qualification in culinary arts, or similar is desired, but not essential.
• A personal desire to be developed and to learn in your role.
• Ability to support the successful operations of the kitchen.
• Ability to build relationships and influence with all levels of the business.
