Stipendiary - 4 years fixed term
Christ\'s College, Cambridge invites applications for a stipendiary Junior Research Fellowship (four-year fixed term) in specified areas of Arts; Humanities and Social Sciences, tenable from no later than 1 October 2024 and non-renewable.
A Junior Research Fellowship is intended for a researcher early in their career, who has completed, or expects to complete, their PhD Degree after 1st January 2023 and, in this case, is restricted to applications in one of more of the following subject areas: Classics; Education; History (limited to the History of Political Thought); History of Art; History and Philosophy of Science; Politics and International Studies; Theology.
The stipend for a Junior Research Fellow is currently \xc2\xa327,396 (with a PhD) and \xc2\xa323,149 (without a PhD) and the successful candidate will be afforded the full privileges of a Fellow of the College.
Applications must be submitted on-line via the Christ\'s College website by 12:00 noon on Thursday 19th October 2023. Reports from two referees must also be received by the same deadline for the application to be eligible. Interviews are expected to be on or around Wednesday 10th January 2024. A stipendiary Junior Research Fellowship for a successful applicant who does not have an automatic right to work in the United Kingdom will be subject to the visa requirements of the United Kingdom. The College will give informal advice and assistance but ultimately it will be the responsibility of the candidate to obtain the necessary visa.
