Job Description
Are you a Junior Mechanical Estimator looking to develop your skills within a growing MEP company?
Cooper Weston are installation and maintenance contractors providing comprehensive building maintenance services across London and the South of England.
Due to company growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a
Responsibilities:
- Support the Head of Estimating and Directors with mechanical bids and tenders.
- Provide clear, detailed quantity take offs.
- Ensure estimates are submitted to clients in a timely manner.
- Analyse drawings, specifications and other documentation to prepare estimates.
- Attend site meetings and gather client feedback when needed.
- Liaise with suppliers, contractors and subcontractors.
- Help organise and manage tender documentation.
- Calculate the cost of materials, transport, labour, and equipment hire.
- Track variations and valuations as projects progress.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience in mechanical estimating or a related field.
- Good understanding of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, heating).
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, and other IT tools.
- Highly proficient in numeracy.
- Excellent time management skills.
