Summary

A top high-end residential developer is seeking a talented junior interior designer to join its team in London. Located in West-London, the ideal candidate will have a creative design flare, and experience in high-end residential design projects.

Job description:

• Confident in developing interior concepts into a design presentation.
• An in-depth understanding of luxury interiors and the built environment.
• Generating and refining design concepts, mood boards, preliminary sketches, and final presentations utilizing a diverse array of digital and traditional tools, with a particular focus on Adobe InDesign.
• Producing precise technical drawings and completing tender packages using AutoCAD.
• Collaborating innovatively throughout the entire design process, spanning from initial concept creation to meticulous development and approval of supplier shop drawings.
• Collaborating confidently with external consultants and architects.
• Creating intricate design solutions, including material and finish selection, to meet project requirements.
• Knowledge of luxury materials and finishes.
• Carefully assess architectural drawings, shop drawings, and submissions to ensure the realization of the intended design.
• Management of collation of new fabric and material collections for the materials library.
• This role would be for someone legally eligible to work in the UK.

Skills necessary:

• Bachelor of Fine Arts in interior design, BSc or similar with minimum 2 years of post-graduate experience.
• Knowledge in Adobe Suite, AutoCAD, SketchUp and other 3D rendering programs is essential for this role.
• Knowledge of high residential interior design is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of FF&E specifications.
• A self-driven and detail-oriented designer, with a keen attention to detail.
• A mature, responsible, and reliable individual, who can work quickly and efficiently while maintaining a well-organized approach to tasks.
• Have a positive and enthusiastic approach.
• Exhibits excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the confidence to engage with clients. Prior client-facing experience is a plus.
