Junior Financial Accountant who is ACCA or CIMA full or part qualified (or equivalent) or qualified by experience with a solid understanding of financial planning, budgeting and forecasting and advanced numeracy and analytical skills is required for well-established company based in Hove, East Sussex.

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Junior Financial Accountant who is ACCA or CIMA full or part qualified (or equivalent) or qualified by experience with a solid understanding of financial planning, budgeting and forecasting and advanced numeracy and analytical skills.

Working as the Junior Financial Accountant you will report to the Head of Finance, preparing statutory reports for various group companies.

As the Junior Financial Accountant you will prepare statutory accounts and tax computations and oversee Cash Flow forecasts.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Junior Financial Accountant include:

• Assisting with all aspects of the Company\xe2\x80\x99s accounting functions

• Supervising and reviewing all month end balance sheet journals

• Supervising and reviewing monthly balance sheet reconciliations

• Maintaining the fixed asset register

• Preparing statutory accounts and tax computations

• Providing data to external and internal auditors

• Assisting with longer term financial planning and budget setting

• Overseeing Cash Flow forecasts and management

• Completing all tasks within the set deadlines, without compromising on quality

• Addressing queries from various stakeholders and recommending appropriate business focused solutions to these queries

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Essential:

• ACCA or CIMA Full or Part Qualified / Finance degree or equivalent through experience

• Proven experience of challenging and influencing key stakeholders outside of the Finance team

• Good presentation skills

• Ability to interpret and communicate financial data to non-financial managers, in a clear and concise manner

• Solid understanding of financial planning, budgeting and forecasting

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel

• Advanced numeracy and analytical skills

• Outstanding attention to detail

• Strong time management skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines

• Confident and conscientious manner

• Methodical and logical approach to problem solving

• English language fluency

Desirable:

• Working knowledge of Russian or Spanish language
