The Role
As a Junior Electrical / Electronics Technician you\'ll have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in a world class Testing and Trials Evaluation environment. In addition the site operates an array of Air Traffic Management Systems (ATM) including airfield radars, Ground to Air communications systems as well as Marine Surveillance Radars and their associated displays and networks. We also maintain and operate telemetry and distributed IT systems providing the opportunity for pro-active individuals to gain a working knowledge across a wide range of equipment and systems.

Day-to-day you\'ll play a vital role in:

• Maintenance, repair and operation, of a broad range of equipment
• Maintenance and live operation of Tracking Radar systems located on South Uist and St Kilda, which includes a deployable Tracking Radar System (equipment specific training will be provided)

Skills and experience of the Junior Electrical / Electronics Technician:

• Electrical / Electronics / Computing background, whether it be practical working knowledge or educational

Qualifications for the Junior Electrical / Electronics Technician:

• Qualification in Electrical and Electronic equipment
